This Sunday sees the start of a week-long Parish Mission in St Joseph’s led by Fr Francis Maple (the singing friar) who has given Missions here previously. The theme of the Mission is the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary. He will introduce the week at all Masses this Sunday and there will be a full Mission programme every day of the week with Mass at 10.45am and 7.30pm and Confessions after each Mass.

Tuesday 23rd April 2013 marks the Solemnity of St George, Patron Saint of England.

Happy St George’s Day!

Great Saint George,
our patron, help us,
in the conflict be thou nigh;
help us in that daily battle,
where each one must win or die.

In Eastertide, we reflect on the different events following Jesus’ resurrection.  This short video leads us through the 14 ‘Stations of the Light’.

Habemus Papam – we have a Pope!

Pope Francis – he was Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the Archbishop of Buenos Aires in Argentina.

Pray for him as he begins the huge responsibility as the 265th successor of St Peter.
